CHECKING YOUR EMAIL WITH OUTLOOK /
OUTLOOK EXPRESS
By now you should
have received a notification email from us containing your new

You will need that information as you follow these steps. As
such, we recommend printing both the notification email and this
page before you get started. Here we go.........
From the Outlook
Express Menu
- Select "Tools"
- Select "Email
Accounts"
- Click on the
"Add A New Email Account" button
- Select "POP3"
- Type in your
"Your Name"
- Type in your
"Email Address"
- From the
notification email we sent you, type in the "Incoming
mail (POP3)"
- From the
notification email we sent you, type in the "Outgoing
mail (SMTP)..." information.
- From the
notification email we sent you, type in the "User Name"
Take special note of Account
Name described in the email.
- From the
notification email we sent you, type in the "Password"
- Now you can
press the "Test Account Settings" button and
send yourself a message.
- Press "Next"
- Press "Finished"
You are all set!
Now, whenever you use Outlook to check your email, it will
automatically check this account. Now would be a good time
to check for the test email to see if you received it!

CREATING EMAIL
ACCOUNTS THROUGH CONTROL PANEL
To add, delete, or change your
email accounts
- Go to https://control.commercebox.com/
and enter your account UserID and Password as
appropriate.
- Click on the "Mail
Manager" button
- Click on the "Modify"
button below your domain name.
- Use the buttons as needed to
create your Alias, POP, Autorespond, etc account(s)
Email Alias - This type of
account simply forwards any email to another account. As an
example, support@aipics.com
could be set up to automatically forward to support@hotmal.com.
Since email is automatically forwarded, you do not log into this
account the check your email.
Default Alias - The default
alias account is *@aipics.com. Any email sent to a
non-existent @aipics.com will be caught by the Default Alias and
will automatically forwarded to the real @aipics.com email address
you specify. In theory, this lets you catch any email sent
to mistyped email addresses. In practical application, you
just end up getting a lot of extra TRASH / SPAM email. I do
NOT recommend using a Default Alias.
Email POP account:
This is a full, stand-alone email account. To check your
email for this type of account you either use your email program
on your computer or your browser as specified above.
Autoresponder - This allows
you to set up any email account so that is automatically sends a
message back to the originator. "Thanks for sending us
your message. We want you to know your message is important
to us and we promise to respond as quickly as is humanly
possible." Yada Yada Yada. On the surface, this seems
like a neat idea. However, the autoresponse accomplishes
little for your company and you ultimately end up in a quagmire of
bounced SPAM etc.
Email List and Auto List -
These accounts require a special interface that must be
incorporated by your webmaster. If you think you would like
either of these features, contact mike@razr.com
